Winter Essentials | Genuine Winter Girl

We definitely cannot hide from winter so why not just embrace it by getting your winter essentials to keep warm but still looking great. Below are two outfit's that I have put together and can be shopped in it's entirety at Forever New. What are your key winter essentials?

To begin with, a warm jersey or sweater is always a good start! Thus, you will practically have almost two different outfits if you put this with the next best essential, a pair of jeans. Make sure you find a good pair of jeans that fits you well and that you feel comfortable in because you can practically wear anything with it and create many different looks with just the basics.

Just because it is winter, it doesn't mean that your outfit should look or be boring. In saying this, I am a very big person on jewellery (specifically statement necklaces) but also when it calls for it because sometimes your outfit may require the bare minimum. For instance, the (Harley Roll Neck Sweater) is plain and simple where you can add a chunky necklace or you can change it up the next time you wear it with a longer hanging necklace.

There is certainly no reason to hate winter when you look and feel good. From a more casual look (see above) to a more formal look by using the two basic essentials: a sweater and a pair of jeans. For the evenings, a coat or anything with a neckline of faux fur will keep you extra warm for those chilly nights. This would definitely be my next key winter essential because if you buy a classical style coat that goes with everything - you will be sure to use it every winter.
