 It’s the weekend, baby! And that means baking time!

 

I couldn’t resist when I walked into Woolies and I saw their big display of everything you need for baking. So, I thought there is no better way than to make a Sticky Toffee Pudding that is something simple and easy to do plus I get to bake! What did you get your dad for this Father's Day to show him how special he is to you?

 

Shopping for men can generally come at quite a task and not only for special occasions like Father's Day.

 

I decided to spoil my dad with a gift from Woolworths where I bought him some thermal pyjamas that are light-weight and will keep him extra warm for winter. And not to forget they are printed in army which is his absolute favourite! Along with the pyjamas, I got him a pair of leather slippers that is also from Woolworths.

A few thoughts for the day:

That's so Chanel! Well, Indeed! The beauty products are absolutely to die for, your face doesn't know what it has been missing out on until you have tried Chanel! I would give up wearing mascara to have it in my make-up bag. What beauty product can you just not live without?

2.

I would rather spend the whole day shopping in Sandton City - to the extent that my feet can no longer carry my body and my arms are falling off from the shopping bags than shop

New Clothing, Everyday!

 

 

I don't know about you but I can definitely relate to this! Have you ever woken up being really excited about your plans for the day whether it be going somewhere for a planned lunch or any occasion? Well, of course! that may seem like an obvious question but then no matter what your intentions were to try and find the perfect outfit to wear, you stuck staring at your closet for over an hour, clueless!

 

I can remember numerous times when I had to message my boyfriend to tell him, I'm so sorry I can't come over for Sunday lunch because I just cannot find anything to wear! It may seem so absurd to many people and a problem that I may have but I get super annoyed and frustrated when I just cannot seem to find the IT outfit for the day. This means that I should just stay at home and do nothing!

Happy 7 Year Anniversary!

After we spent a week away in Mozambique alongside the beach with the beautiful sea view and the sand in our toes. Last night, I got spoilt to a romantic dinner date at Signature Restaurant for our 7 year anniversary. Celebrating the years that we have spent together there was no better restaurant to have good food, good wine and great company! Signature Restaurant is an upmarket, classy and sophisticated restaurant situated in Sandton (Morningside Shopping Centre). We were definitely spoilt by incredible service, a live band of sweet jazz sounds along with the dimmed lights really created a beautiful atmosphere.

Simple Holiday Detox Drink!

After having a splendid holiday away by the beach side. I usually come home all tanned and golden brown which is great! But what I don't come back with is the body I left with because I have packed some extra weight from all the delicious beach food and yummy ice-creams.

 

Thus,  if I don't go to the gym then going on a bit of a detox is certainly the order of the day. I don't know about you but I'm not particularly fond of plain water that is actually tasteless! So, I found this recipe tried by Khloe Kardashian that is a simple way to add flavour to water and makes it taste that much better!

My Top 10 Holiday Essentials!

Packing for a holiday sounds super-exciting! But packing for a last minute holiday is not always the easiest task to do and can be a real tiring exercise! Although, once you are on holiday all the fun and relaxation begins. 

 

My last minute holiday was to Mozambique where we had to not only worry about packing on the spur of the moment, but also that we were going to roadtrip for about 9 hours in our Jeep 4x4. Going on a roadtrip is fun but what is not fun is when you extremely exhausted and can barely keep your eyes open because you have been awake for over 24 hours - so getting enough sleep is key! Trust me! Secondly, having any 4x4 when travelling down to Mozambique is a must unless you book a holiday package at a resort where you can fly down and the airport organises your transport to your resort; or if you booked an island holiday then you will be taken via a boat. We chose to drive specifically to Ponta do Ouro so that we could go sight-seeing and also enjoy the experience of driving through thick beach sand to get to the place we were staying at right on the beach front.

Last night, I was marking my territory on a glass of wine at Piatto for a casual dinner date with my love. Besides, the fact that I love trying different restaurants and more expensive food places for our anniversaries - Piatto is what we would call our local 'family'  type restaurant because of the relaxing yet initmate atmosphere, the food is always delicious and is also reasonably priced. Have you ever been to a Piatto?

I thought I would share my obsession with you and that's the Mercedes Benz G-Wagon. The fact that it costs anywhere around R1.2 Million to R2.4 Million - I think I will just keep a picture of it since it lasts longer and I will write it on my wish list. Bearing in mind, that you could go on an overseas holiday; buy a car worth R500 000; a house valued at R1.5 Million and go on a shopping spree with R50 000 which is all equivalent to the price-tag of the beautiful G-Wagon.

Coco Chanel | Mother's Day

How did you spoil your Mother this past Mother's Day? Well, I was lucky enough to have won my mother a Mother's Day Make-over with Coco Chanel in Sandton City. Not only was I over the moon to spend my morning surrounded by make-up but not just any make-up people, we talking about the luxurious Coco Chanel! With the overwhelming excitement of getting pampered with Chanel products and being treated like royality by sipping on some champagne and snacking on macaroons - we just had to take a some before selfies (this was the first but certainly not the last!).

Closet Perfection!

 

Am I the only one that wishes my closet looked like this? I would love my wardrobe to be this neat but I do love clothing far too much where you can clearly see I have a passion for fashion  the minute the cupboard doors open which makes it kinda' difficult for it to look this simplistic. 

 

The problem that many of us have (including myself) is that we wish we had a walk in closet but our reality check is that our wardrobe is generally too small for the amount of clothing that we have. Bearing in mind, that you have to keep both summer and winter clothing in the same place - is certainly a hard thing for me to comprehend.
