Today, we drove to what felt like the otherside of life to spoil my beautiful mother for a Mother's Day Sunday lunch. Despite, it being quite a drive (about an hour and thirty minutes) to get to Anne's Kitchen in Three Rivers - it is such a beautiful place for an outdoor lunch with the family.
I must admit as cute as these pot breads are, the service today was just not that cute at all. I guess with every restaurant you can't always expect a super speedy delivery of your orders and good food too especially when you at a place where people bring their WHOLE family with and when I say the whole family I mean your mother's, mother's aunty's and uncle's. Over and above, the fact that it is Mother's Day today. However, it definitely creates a great ambiance for the place and is a good thing but not when you really hungry and could eat something the size of a horse (okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration but you get what I mean) because you have waited almost 2 hours for your food.
I absolutely love the outdoors especially when you feel the winter sun on your back as you slowly roast and bake in it. The joy's of nature also offers a beautiful scenary and that's Anne's Kitchen's garden that you look out onto. So, if you feel like a bit of a drive out of the city for a relaxed Sunday lunch and something that is different to the usual then Anne's Kitchen is the place to try.
